I’m so excited that the fall season is upon us. I already debuted my boots, and as soon as it dips below 70 degrees, I’ll be unpacking all my sweaters.
Fashion for fall 2012 is full of wearable trends that are going to make you want to hit up the mall (or your local thrift store) and stock up on all kinds of goodies. Here are 5 Must Haves for Fall — basic closet staples that you’ll want to be sure to have in your wardrobe this fall.

1. Animal Prints
Animal prints still going strong this season. The easiest way to wear animal print is with accessories — shoes or a handbag or even a belt. If you really want to embrace the trend, try an animal print top or dress! When you wear animal print in an article of clothing, pair it with a solid color.
2. Gold Accessories
After a long hiatus, gold accessories are back. Even though I’m a huge fan of silver jewelry and didn’t even wear much gold back in the 80′s when that’s about all there was, I admit even I am adding some gold pieces to my wardrobe this fall. 3. Fur Vests
I saw this trend last year in the stores, but I predict it’s going to be more mainstream this season. The fur vest will take any ordinary outfit up a notch or twelve. Don’t feel like you have to save it for a special occasion. Throw it on with your favorite skinny jeans for a lunch date with your bestie or even on a day of errands. It will make you feel chic and sophisticated no matter where you are!
4. Colored Jeans
Colored jeans are sticking around for another season. If you haven’t tried them yet, there’s no time like the present! Pair them with a neutral to play it safe, or if you dare, try color blocking with other bright colors.
5. Booties
I’m finally adjusting to the look of booties paired with skinny jeans or skirts. For a while I really detested the look, but now it is everywhere and I’m finally ready to participate in the trend. How about you??

I love the bootie idea. I haven’t yet bought any but I do love the look. Also fur vests! I have a vest that is completely fur lined. I love it!!
I like the idea of gold accessories and also love using Stella & Dot as my go to costume jewelry spot.
The vest is cute, although I think I can skip out on that one & leave it to my daughters! I can go the booties with pants, but not skirts, but that is because I am short and round! I enjoyed your groupings! Have a great weekend.
